Dani and Jo both grew up there and only moved away a few years ago, and a good number of our longest-standing clients are still based there from those early years. Are you still based in Grantham?
No, we're based in Sheffield now. Millside Creative started in Grantham, and Dani and Jo both grew up there, but the business is run from Sheffield these days. We're upfront about that rather than implying a local office that no longer exists.
Do you still work with Grantham clients even though you moved away?
Yes, and a good number of our longest-standing clients are still based there from those early years. The relationship works entirely remotely now, the same way it does for any client outside easy travelling distance of Sheffield.
Does it matter that you're not local to Grantham any more?
Less than you might think. We know the town and its businesses from having actually lived and worked there, not from research, and most of the day-to-day work (design, development, SEO, marketing) was never dependent on being physically present in the first place.
Can we still meet in person occasionally?
Yes, it's a further trip than our current neighbouring towns, so it's arranged around what's useful for a project rather than being a default, but it's absolutely still on the table.
